Intense ruby color. Fine aromas of mature red fruit combined with subtle oak. Strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, vanilla, hints of annis, mint. At mouth, round, well balanced, with round, mature tannins. Hand harvested in April. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at 75 - 80 degrees, with select yeast and tannin extraction techniques. Maceration for 15 days. Part of the wine is aged in new French barrels, the rest in second and third year French barrels, for one year.
